The Gruffalo!

The Gruffalo is a children's book by writer and playwright Julia Donaldson, illustrated by Axel Scheffler, that tells the story of a mouse's walk in the woods. The book has sold over 10.5 million copies, has won several prizes for children's literature, and has been developed into plays on both the West End and Broadway.

Currently, we are using that as one of our STELLAR books and it is used in the teaching of grammar items in the classroom.

On 1st June, our class went to watch The Gruffalo at Alliance Francaise. I believe all the children enjoyed themselves.

As no photography is allowed during the show, I have only managed to take some photos in the bus and before the show started. Enjoy!

For more Gruffalo activities, you can visit the official site at http://www.gruffalo.com/ (we have visited the site in class too!)

Where do Green Beans Grow Towards?

The children grew their green beans in a shoe box with a 'window' at the side of the box. They then covered the box with a lid. This simple experiment shows that plants grow towards sunlight :)

Sports Day 2010

We'll let the photos do the talking! Many of our pupils took part and they did their best! ;) That's all that matters.
